
Today I headed over to an exciting studio in Birmingham to check out the latest stocking fillers for Christmas. I was there as a part of a focus group, mainly to check out the gadgets they had hauled together, and to interview the stars of The Gadget Show. We were herded into the studio, and moved swiftly into shooting (after some discussions).
Each of the presenters had got hold of a stocking of gadgets to the value of £50.
First went Jason, with a remote-control two player football game that was great in concept, but needed a little thought as there were too many problems (the setup was fiddly, and it was too hard to use). Next, he brought out a USB gaming pad - noting that USB gadgetry is the new black this year - which replaced the keys in a QWERTY keyboard, and was fully programmable - great for FPS gamers.
